Why lay hedges?

Hedges provide a living barrier for livestock and a haven for wildlife.  A neglected hedge provides neither of these.
A hedge left to its own devices becomes thin in the bottom allowing stock to break through and little cover for wildlife and nesting birds.
Eventually it will either become a row of trees or just die out.
I can provide a quality hedge laying service from a garden hedge to a farm hedge.

The hedge on the left is bursting into life in its first spring after laying in the winter.  The hedge above is laid in Stafford style and the hedge on the right is laid Midland style using natural stakes and binders.
